You Are Uniquely Loved
Do you think of yourself as average? Or less than average? Truth is, you’re incredibly special. Although there may be some people who look a bit like you, you’re one of a kind. Even if you have an identical sibling, there are still inherent differences, making you unique. There is no one else exactly like you.
When you look at the story of creation, it tells us that God fashioned Adam from dust, and Eve from one of Adam’s ribs. However God exactly accomplished it, from the very first humans on, we are all unique, and uniquely live by God.
The Bible says that God’s works are wonderful, including you, as well as ever other person you might encounter. God’s Love for you is unique, affirming His love and care for you. The personal power of His love enters our hearts and lives when we invite Jesus into our lives.
This should remind us that God doesn’t just care for humanity, He cares uniquely for you and for me. If you have a child, you have a glimmer of understanding how God loves you. I remember when my daughter was born. I knew at that very moment that I’d freely give my life up for her sake should it ever be needed. And that’s what God the Son actually did for our eternal salvation.
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love….This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:10; 16
