Praise and Thanksgiving!
Written by Lydia D’Ross, Ordained Minister and Outreach Chaplain for RENEWAL at Brookhaven Hospital
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are reminded that thanksgiving to God did not start as history books declare, but began as in the book of Isaiah reads: “On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine–the best of meats and the finest of wines.” Isaiah 25:6.
The people of Israel were giving thanksgiving to God regardless of whether they were poor or rich. For they were reminded in the book of Psalms, “Let everything that has breath, praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.” – Psalm 150:6
It did not matter what they were going through, they were all giving thanks to God. What are you struggling with today that you can lay aside, and give thanks to God for a new season in your life?
