RENEWAL Devotional: Preparing Yourself for Change
Written by Lydia D’Ross, Ordained Minister and Outreach Chaplain for RENEWAL at Brookhaven Hospital
It’s time to be flexible. Anxiety can come upon us when it comes to change. Change is a natural part of life, though, as the Bible mentions the changing of the seasons. It is the message of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
As we move pass the middle of year and enter the eighth month, get ready for the new. Eight symbolizes something new. It can be changing and preparing for something fresh.
Change is good. Be flexible. Change is meant to bless you. Be flexible to change, and don’t get stuck. Don’t let anxiousness get in the way of your promise. What needs to be changed in your life to move forward? Will it be a season of building up or a season of tearing down. Move in the fresh anointing that God has for you. Come out of the old and enter into the new.
Great things are in store for you and your family. So, step into the now!
