What is weighing you down?

Walking through life with unnecessary baggage weighs people down. God’s plan for you is total restoration. God knows carrying baggage full of life’s issues can be painful. For some, baggage can pile so high that you begin to feel overwhelmed with life. If we allow God to direct us concering our life problems, the unnecessary baggage will begin to be pulled off from us and we will begin to have life again.
Much of our lives are loaded with unncessary baggage that we do not want to carry. This may be because we don’t understand our self-worth and the way we are completely accepted by our Heavenly Father.
Sometimes our baggage can be hard to let go, because we have lived with our baggage for so long. We may not realize how bad it has gotten until it begins to affect our physical health.
One of the reason that people carry their emotional baggage around is due to fear. Fear can paralyze us and make it difficult to move forward. We may not know anything different. We have to learn new ways to deal with our baggage, or it will run our life.
Zechariah 13:9 says “I will bring you through the fire and make you pure, just as gold and silver are refined and purified by fire.” What does that mean? It means, as you begin to get rid of your baggage, God is perfecting you to His image. Working through your fears will help you find hope and freedom. You will begin to feel good about yourself and see yourself as God sees you.
