RENEWAL Devotional: Why Does God Care About Me?

In our work at Brookhaven we meet people who are struggling with their life problems and looking for assistance and guidance with changing their lives. Often they feel alone and think that God has abandoned them or isn’t interested in their lives. Sometimes their negative feelings lead them to question their relationship with God. We work with them to help them to recognize that God does indeed care about them. Reinvesting in their relationship with God is a vital part of the healing process.

Psalm 121:8 makes a proclamation that may be hard to believe: “The LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” God is transcendent; He is above all. God is also immanent, and near us at all times.

Why is God so ever present in his watching over of us? God watches over our coming and our going now and forevermore, because He loves us and cares deeply for us.

He cares about the littlest details about our lives. We might hesitate to pray about the small happenings in our lives. However, God does care about every little detail of our lives and wants us to share our heart with Him so He can share his heart with us.  God cares about our happiness and has given us all the resources we need.  These resources include those of us in the helping profession to help you heal your mind, body and spirit.

Thanks for the helpful write-up. It is also my beielf that mesothelioma cancer has an very long latency interval, which means that the signs of the disease might not emerge till 30 to 50 years after the original exposure to asbestos fiber. Pleural mesothelioma, that is certainly the most common form and affects the area within the lungs, could cause shortness of breath, breasts pains, and also a persistent coughing, which may bring about coughing up our blood.
