RENEWAL Devotional: Moving Forward After Tragedy
Written by: Lydia D’Ross, Renewal Program Outreach Chaplain and ordained minister
The tragedies we face in life sometimes deter us from moving forward. Just this past week, the body of Christ lost one of the greatest leaders in the world, Dr. Myles Munroe. The news media all around the globe has covered the horrible plane crash that took the lives of more than seven people, including Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth. Dr. Munroe and his family founded the International Bahamas Faith Ministries. Dr. Myles Munroe was an internationally bestselling author, lecturer, teacher, life coach, government consultant, multi-gifted motivational speaker and leadership mentor. I was privileged to be one of his students, and he will be sorely missed. As in any tragic life experience, moving forward is a progressive journey.
Take comfort in knowing that scripture tells us in John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Moving forward is not easy for some people. If you are struggling to deal with memories or experiences causing disruption in your family life, or know someone who is struggling, Renewal Christian Care is here to help.
