From Point A to Point B: Healing and Maturity of Soul

Do you ever plan something, and wonder how to get from point A to point B?  Sometimes it takes a bit of research, planning, or talking to someone about it. We all need healing and maturity of soul.  As we begin to learn to trust God, healing begins. Our soul matures, when we spend time with Him, we learn to trust Him as our emotional and physical healer.  Leanne Payne wrote in her article Healing Presence, “Vital to every soul that needs healing (all of us) is the knowledge that God is absolutely good, and that He loves us with the kind of love capable of radically changing us” (Payne, Healing Presence, p. 132).

Sometimes we encounter barriers to entering into that resting place with God.  Lack of trust can steal your joy.  There is always a starting point and an ending point as we begin our journey to resolve the lack of trust in situations like, abuse, sexual abuse, emotional hurts, or divorce.  Sometimes we don’t know where to begin to be healed or grow in the maturity of our soul.  The truth is, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and it brings rest, peace, hope and maturity of our soul.  Romans 8:28 says our trust is not in a God who uses his power without a plan or at His whim. Rather our trust is in a loving, purposeful God who promises that all things work together for good for those who love Him.
