Renewal Seminar Snapshots

"Emotional Needs and Our Emotional-Relational Problems"

Presenter: Dane Tyner, Director of HIM Christian Family Services

Date: April 8th 2010

Synopsis:

Proper respect and attention to the emotional needs of an individual is essential to proper psychological health; although, as human nature would have it, people often think of emotional needs in terms of "my needs," an awareness of one's own requirements being paramount. During his presentation, Dane Tyner discussed his understanding of human emotional needs and the relationships between these and our emotional and relational problems. Additionally, issues of both emotional injury and malnutrition were addressed and quantified through an "Emotional Need Matrix," which graphically aided participant's understanding of these issues. The seminar was a resounding success as indicated by the overwhelmingly positive feedback and large turn out.
